Green Careers Week

As part of our focus on national Green Careers Week, the Careers Team were delighted to welcome Hinkley Point C into College on Tuesday 7 November 2023 to deliver an assembly to Year 10 students on Careers at Hinkley Point C. 

Students were given an insight into the scale and logistics of what is currently the largest construction project in the UK, it’s contribution to our national target of achieving Net Zero, and the wealth of employment and training opportunities available, encompassing areas such as:

After the Assembly, Year 10 and Sixth Form students took part in an Employer Encounter session, which entailed further discussions and Q&A about employment and career pathways at Hinkley C, including a wide range of apprenticeship, undergraduate and graduate opportunities, and guidance on how and when to apply. 

Students were also shown how to access Young HPC, an online skills development programme for 16-21 year olds who are interested in investigating career pathways and employment options at Hinkley Point C.
