Another big win and a television appearance for a member of our College Alumni as well as an array of achievements from sports outside of the traditional College specialisms make up this report.

We commence this article in the Boxing ring where Year 9’s Zac (pictured) made a return visit to the London International Amateur Boxing Association Belt Tournament where he was victorious in 2024.

Well Done to Zac, following another Triumph, winning the competition for his category and successfully defending his title!

Zac's triumph in 2024 was covered in the

A special mention to Ronnie (Year 10) who also participated in this event too!

--------

Meanwhile, out on the running track, Year 7 student Dougal (pictured) was blasting his way to a superb silver medal position at the Devon Schools Athletic Association Devon Schools Track and Field Championships.

Representing Plymouth, Dougal claimed his prize in the 800m competition, picking up a Personal Best in the process.

Also in Track and Field, our Year 8 Girls Team took part in a Plymouth Schools Athletics Event, placing a super Second overall.

--------

On a different type of race track in Scarborough, despite time off due to a broken wrist, Year 9 student Matt (pictured) was back on his bike at a British Cycling Youth Circuit Series National Cycle Race.

--------

Back on the grass, our Year 7 and 8 Tennis Team were taking part in a Lawn Tennis Association Youth Schools Tennis Competition.

Unfortunately they couldn’t make it to the winning line first against their Grammar School opponents from Torbay (although we congratulate them on their victory), but were victorious over a Team from another school based in the South Hams.

--------

Our Under 15 Team, meanwhile had traded their racquets for a cricket bat as they competed in the Devon Cricket Finals.

Congratulations to the Team on their third place finish

--------

And finally, out on the Rugby pitch, we can celebrate some more amazing triumphs.

Congratulations to our Year 9 Mixed T1 Rugby Team following their success in a recent tournament and being crowned T1 Touch Rugby Champions.

And over on the grounds of Twickenham, he’s done it again!

Following the success of our Under 18 Rugby Team last year in making it to the Home of Rugby to contest a Final, and following a four point loss the year before, College Alumni Ben Spencer (Rugby Club Captain who has also played for the England National side) made a triumphant return to Twickenham, leading his Bath Rugby Team to victory in the Gallagher Premiership Final.

This amazing achievement (also broadcast on ITV1 and TNT Sports) follows another victory for Ben which took place a couple of weeks ago, which saw him scoring a try and being named ‘Man of the Match’ in another final at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff and leading his team to winning the ECPR (European) Challenge Cup!

A huge congratulations to Ben on a very memorable season!
