What are the College doing to promote equality?
Within College many of the CPSHE lessons or Character Tutor sessions discuss protected characteristics. This equips our students with information in order to foster a safe environment for all. Thoughtful discussion and research can have a huge impact to help facilitate our understanding and acceptance of all within our community.
The College's Youth Culture Champions discuss College policies such as uniform, and consider inclusion for all protected characteristics within College.
Why is equality education important?
The College endeavours to educate our students on the wider world and its ever evolving dialogue. Having outstanding equality education is a priority at Ivybridge Community College. We wish to facilitate the promotion and development of kind and respectful students of all for the wider community. Considering age, disability, gender reassignment, race, religion or belief, gender or sexual orientation.
The College is delighted to be recognised by Just Like Us for the
Anti-Bullying work that we do within our College Community.
