Teaching Assistant

We are looking to appoint an exceptional individual to join our existing team of Teaching Assistants at Ivybridge Community College.


Pay Scale:           NJC Grade B (scp 2-3)

                            £18,198 - £18,562 per annum (£12,711 - £12,966 pro rata)


Hours:                  31.25 hours per week x 38 weeks a year


Contract:             Fixed term until 31 August 2022


All of our Teaching Assistants play an important role in assisting with support for students to enable them to access the full range of curricular opportunities (academic and enrichment) the College has to offer. 

The post holder will work under supervision and direction, usually within the classroom providing general support and assistance as part of a professional team, through the organisation and day to day maintenance of teaching resources and administrative support. 

Under the guided direction of the teaching staff, the post holder will sometimes be required to support learning which takes place outside of the main teaching area with small groups. We are looking to appoint an individual who is able to support SEMH/Wild Tribe, PACE support, or SEND/PP cross over support.
