Success for Students in the UKMT Team Challenge
On Thursday, 8 November Ivybridge Community College Sixth Form students Adam Vosper and Courtney Ormrod in Year 12, and Holly Gearon and Olivia Wiseman in Year13, accompanied by Mr Mitchell, represented the College at the UKMT (United Kingdom Mathematics Trust) Senior Team Challenge, held at Coombe Dean School, in Plymouth.
The UKMT Team Challenges promote mathematical dexterity, teamwork and communication skills. They also give students the opportunity to compete against students from other schools and colleges in the region.
There were four rounds, and at the end of the competition our students were placed in third place, out of fifteen. Congratulations to all who took part in a really successful competition.
