Experiencing Outdoor Education at its Best!

Year 13 student, Matt Keeble, has been filming and editing a series of videos, as part of his Gold Duke of Edinburgh's Award.  Over the course of the year he has produced a series based on different local places for his skill section.

Matt also filmed during the Ten Tors expedition in May.  Despite having completed the
55 mile expedition, he went home, edited the footage and uploaded the completed video during the afternoon.  This proved really popular and the number of views was soon in the hundreds.  The video gives a fantastic insight into the Ten Tors challenge and was proclaimed the best video produced this year, by the Ten Tors organisers.

During the summer, Matt was one of twenty-four students who completed their Gold Duke of Edinburgh's expeditions in the Lake District.  The production of a video was their team’s aim and despite a particularly wet spell throughout the four day August expedition, they managed to capture some good footage.  Following the completion of the journey, this was edited into another, extremely professional looking video.

“The production of these videos allows viewers to share the experiences of the participants that was not previously possible, and I strongly recommend you taking a look”, said Andrew Mitchell, Head of Outdoor Education.
