Do you want to play a wide range of music in a County wide orchestra?

The Devon Youth Orchestras have now opened their applications for the 2025 - 26 Season.

They aim for an enjoyable atmosphere with coaching staff carefully chosen to be supportive to young musicians and have an exciting range of music to explore from film and games themes to epic orchestral scores.

Their first rehearsal is on Saturday 6th September so now is a good time for players to contact them.

They always have vacancies for lower brass (trombones and tuba), violas, double bass, oboes, bassoons and horns in particular.

They have some space in most areas of both orchestras but are particularly keen to invite the following to come along:

Concert Orchestra (Grade 4+ standard)

• Oboes and Bassoons

• Horns and Trombones

• Violas and Basses

Symphony Orchestra (Grade 6+ standard) 

• Oboes and Bassoons

• Trombones and Tuba

• Violas

• Double Bass
