The first fortnight of this second Half Term of the year has seen some tight matches, more tournament wins and a swimmer excelling in his individual sport.

Achievements and activities have covered a wide range of sports including...

Volleyball

Swimming

Cross Country

...as well as College staples including...

Football

Rugby

Netball

--------

We begin on the Volleyball court, where our Girls and Boys Teams both took part in the Inaugural South West Under 18 Six – a – side League.

Both teams had a very successful day, taking the Silver Medal Position in each of their respective contests.

--------

Meanwhile, our Year 9 Elite Netball Team took part in a Plymouth Schools Tournament.

The girls had a great contest and many congratulations to them on winning the competition.

--------

We would also like to congratulate budding swimmer Toby from Year 8 (pictured) who has been having a busy time in the pool with back-to-back weekends of swimming meets.

It hasn’t been for nothing though and Toby’s hard work has paid off with Personal Bests and medals for good measure.

He has also reached a Schools National Final with his team.

In recognition of his performance at the City of Plymouth Gala, he was also presented with an Award from the City of Plymouth Swimming Association.

--------

In other news, we would also like to mention all students who were selected and took part in the recent Schools Cross Country event (some participants pictured) at Staddiscombe.

A very well done to you all!

--------

We would also like to acknowledge those who took part in the School Games activities at Paignton Zoo recently.

--------

Meanwhile, out on the Football pitch, our Teams were out in force with our Senior Girls Football Team facing a Team from a School in Bath.

Recently, our Year 10 Elite Team also took on a team from a School based in Truro.

Our commiserations to our Year 7 A Team who weren’t able to win their match against a team from an Academy in Torbay, although we would like to thank them for representing the College valiantly, and congratulate our opponents on their win.

However, our Year 8 Elite Football Team, also took on a team from a Grammar School in Torbay and won their match by 5 goals to 3.

--------

And of course, our Rugby Teams were in action too with our Senior Elite Team taking on a Team from a School in Somerset and taking a narrow victory by 24 points to 30.

And if that wasn’t exciting enough, our Year 9 and 10 Elite Squad were involved in an even tighter affair against a Team from the same School, but were still victorious by 22 points to 24.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of our students and staff who participated in the Rugby Holiday Camps over the break.

And finally, we would also like to congratulate our Year 10 Elite Rugby Squad for their win in their recent National Plate game.

--------

Another notable selection of wins and achievements for another fortnight and we cannot wait to celebrate further successes in the future.
