Year 6 Open Evening
Ivybridge Community College will be holding its annual Year 6 Parents’ Open Evenings on Wednesday, 28 September and Tuesday, 4 October 2022.
The open evening is an opportunity for all parents who are looking at secondary education for their children. Attendees will be able to hear a talk from the Principal and have a tour of the Ivybridge Community College facilities and departments. The event will provide parents, carers and children with an exciting insight into life at the College, showcasing how we deliver enjoyable and meaningful learning opportunities.
Commencing at 5.50pm for 6.00pm in the Dining Hall, parents can meet departmental staff to learn about the Year 7 curriculum, as well as other staff involved in the primary to secondary school Transition Programme. The College campus is extensive, and the buildings are on several levels; consequently the tour that we arrange takes about an hour, and includes a considerable amount of walking.
If you attend a feeder primary school you will have received a letter directing you to which date to attend. However, if you are out of catchment you can attend either date.
Parking is available in the Coach Park on Marshalls Field off Exeter Road, PL21 0FQ, and also in the Main College Car Park adjoining the Sports Hall. If disabled parking is required, please contact Mrs Melanie Vincent, the Principal's PA, in advance so that arrangements can be made to reserve an appropriate space, with wheelchair access, adjacent to the Dining Hall.
