Ivybridge Science Week 2017
From Monday, 13 March until Friday, 17 March we will be celebrating British Science Week with a series of exciting events.
Every lunchtime this week there are many ways that you can get involved.
Monday, 13 March
Would you like to meet our axolotls? If so come along to D1.03 at 12.45pm to help to feed and find out about these incredible creatures.
Tuesday, 14 March
Are you in Years 7-9 and would you like to find out about the fascinating lives of owls? If so, come along to D1.03 at 12.45pm to dissect some pellets to find out what our local owls have been eating. Places are limited, so sign up on the door of D1.03.
Wednesday, 15 March
Are you in Year 10? Are you intrigued by the lives of sharks? If so, you should sign up on the door of D3.01 to take part in a shark dissection taking place at 12.45pm today.
Thursday, 16 March
Are you in Year 7 and would you like to see everyday objects in a whole new way? If so, come along to B2.02 at 12.45pm to discover an amazing world through the microscope. Places are limited, so sign up on the form on the door of B2.02.
Friday, 17 March
Are you a keen surfer and would like to find out more about the Science involved in your favourite sport? If so, come along to B3.02 at 12.45pm to find out more. You will even leave with your own handmade mini-surfboard. Places are limited so sign up quickly on the door of B2.02.
Block 5 today is DEAR time for Years 7 and 8. Why not visit the LRC this week to see their display of Sci-Fi books?
Also, look out for quizzes, competitions and special lessons throughout the week. You will also receive a free gift in order to take part in a whole College experiment.
