National Breakfast Week- Student/Staff Competition
The Great College Breakfast Off - The search for the College’s Star Breakfast Chef.
To celebrate National Breakfast Week - ‘the most important meal of the day’ - Food Technology hosted a special event in which budding chefs had to create a healthy and nutritious breakfast (hot or cold) within 35 minutes and present in front of a panel of judges. The event created a huge buzz with students preparing dishes to an extremely high standard alongside their chosen sous chef.
The judges Mrs Hutchinson - Principal, Mrs Feeney - Assistant Principal, and Ms Brooks - Technology Technician, had the tremendous task of tasting and deliberating.
All competitors received a special commemorative pen with the winner receiving a hand-crafted trophy, a star chef apron and a teen recipe book.
