Year 12 Council embrace the festivities
With mocks fast approaching in the new year, the Year 12 Council went all out to ensure that the end of 2016 was as enjoyable as possible.
Christmas decorations covered the Common Room throughout December, with tinsel around every pillar and a live tree in the corner to add to the Christmas spirit. On the last day of term we gathered in the Common Room for Tutor to find a variety of festive food laid out to enjoy whilst collecting donations for the Christmas Jumper Competition, and to announce the winners and present them their prizes. At lunch time it was wonderful to see the Common Room packed with teams ready to participate in this year’s Christmas Quiz. The quiz featured rounds on current affairs, Christmas knowledge, and even a round which involved guessing teachers from just their baby photos! We would like to thank everyone who participated in the quiz and Christmas Jumper Day as the Sixth Form alone raised £130 for Save the Children and £114 for Cancer Research.
