Gary Streeter discusses Mental Health Provision Green Paper with Students
On Friday 12 October, Gary Streeter, Member of Parliament for South West Devon, once again visited Ivybridge Community College to discuss topics with student representatives. This visit was designed to gather views concerning The Green Paper based around children’s mental health provision.
Mr Streeter was highly impressed by how articulate the student representatives were, saying he was “blown away” by the intelligent and passionate views expressed in the meeting.
He said that the input of the students will form a significant part of The Green Paper process and he is going to collate their ideas and present them in a speech at Westminster. He has also expressed an enthusiastic interest in maintaining an on-going close relationship with the College.
