Regional Year 7 Futsal Champions
The Ivybridge Community College Year 7 Football Academy team of Finlay Conway,
Josh Bernard, Sam Joce, Caleb Roberts, Jack Stephens, Finlay Wilkes, Lewis Colwell and Henry Donovan, have won the Year 8 Regional Plymouth Argyle Football Club Tournament. The fact that they played in the year group above makes this tournament win even more prestigious.
They will now represent Plymouth Argyle in the South West finals in Bristol where they will compete against other local Football League Teams including Exeter, Bristol City,
Bristol Rovers, Swindon, Cardiff, Newport, Yeovil and Cheltenham.
The eventual winners will represent the South West in the National Finals at Wembley.
Futsal is an exciting, fast-paced small sided football game that is widely played across the world and is officially recognised by both UEFA and FIFA. The nature of the game places a large emphasis on technical skill and ability in situations of high pressure.
