Careers Fair Showcases Student Opportunities
The Careers Fair held on Wednesday, 21 November 2018 at Ivybridge Community College was a very busy event. Over forty five organisations and training providers from Plymouth and the South West were present, with over 800 students and parents attending.
From local universities and apprenticeship providers to small businesses and organisations with global interests, everyone found something to interest them.
From careers in property and law, manufacturing and engineering, the building environment, to health care, music, IT, the Police and the Forces, the range was truly comprehensive.
Some students came away with promises of work experience placements and others were inspired to find out more. The College has recently been adopted by Building Plymouth and the event complemented some of the assemblies on careers available in the South West in this wide and diverse sector.
Exhibitors commented on the genuine interest of students and the range of career options on offer. The event was bigger and busier than last year, and will hopefully continue to develop in years to come.
