Year 13 student, Matt Keeble, has been filming and editing a series of videos, as part of his Gold Duke of Edinburgh's Award. Over the course of the year he has produced a series based on different local places for his skill section.
Four Ivybridge Community College students Zach Anderson, Year 7, Alfie Westerman, Year 8, Josh Freeman, Year 8 and Josh Gibbs, Year 9, were part of a successful Plymouth Diving Team that competed in the fifth international Ulla Klinger Cup in Aachen, Germany between 3 November to 5 November 2017.
On Friday, 10 November 2017 Ivybridge Community College hosted a talk from a member of the House of Lords to encourage students to become more engaged with the political and parliamentary process.
Ivybridge Community College Year 13 Student, Chantelle Michelin, took part in The World Championships of Irish Dance over the weekend of 28 and 29 October 2017 in
County Mayo, Ireland.
Last weekend, 28 and 29 October 2017, Year 10 Ivybridge Community College student Pierre Michelin travelled with the England Squad to Belgium to participate in the Flanders Judo Cup 2017 Competition. The Flanders Judo Cup is known as ‘The Place to be for Champions’.
On Tuesday, 1 November the College received fantastic news that Lucy Ryder in Year 10, has been short-listed for the above prestigious essay competition.
A strong team of nine swimmers made an immense impact, collecting twenty one medals which included seven Gold at the Exeter Open meet at the Plymouth Life Centre between 7 and 8 October 2017.
On Saturday, 21 October 2017, Year 7 Ivybridge Community College student, Freya Bechley, achieved an amazing second place in the Inter-Schools Plymouth Poetry Competition.
Over 700 participants arrived in Angelslo Sports Hall on ten judo mats to compete for the open Drentse title. It was a joy to watch, both for the spectators and participants.
During the weekend of 7 - 8 October 2017 Jake Myers, in Year 9, had a fabulous time competing at the Horse of the Year Show held in Birmingham at the NEC Arena.
The College continues to show its sporting prowess, with a number of sporting successes.
