By popping on their pullovers for Christmas Jumper Day, Ivybridge Community College students and staff have raised an incredible £1396.61.
Staff and students at Ivybridge Community College were delighted to see at first hand the Women’s F.A.Cup when it was showcased at the College last week.
Year 13 student, Jasmyn Lowe, has had her hair shaved off for charity in support of her childhood friend, Charlotte Barriball, who two years ago, was diagnosed a week after her 15th birthday with precursor B lymphoblastic lymphoma, a cancer which mostly affects children and teenagers and is similar to lymphoblastic leukemia.
As a result of the national publication of the Department for Education figures for the new Progress 8 measures, Ivybridge Community College is delighted to announce that it has achieved a score of 0.42. We are very proud that this is by far the best score within the non - selective secondary schools in the South West of Devon.
On Thursday, 25 January, twelve Year 8 students took an exciting visit to watch the first performance of an English schools' tour by the Onatti Theatre Company of “Mes Chers Voisins”
Ivybridge Community College Year 8 student, Noah Jones, won a Gold Medal in the U15 Pole Vault when he competed in the Southwest Indoor Championships in Cardiff recently.

The Ivybridge Community College Equestrian Team has qualified for the National Schools Equestrian Association Summer Eventers Finals Challenge at Hickstead, Sussex on 26 and 27 May 2018.
On Friday, 19 January 2018 Ivybridge Community College students took part in the
Poetry by Heart competition.
Former Ivybridge Community College student, Ben Harvey, achieved top grades in his
A Levels last year. One of his A* grades was in Chemistry and it was so good, he was recognised for this achievement by the OCR Examining Board and invited to their awards ceremony in London.
Year 10 Ivybridge Community College student and Rugby Academy member,
Aaron Duffield, spent this Christmas on a once in lifetime adventure to India. The sixteen day journey included cultural visits to the Palace Of The Winds, the Amber Fort Palace and the Jantar Mantar observatory in Jaipur. He also witnessed the sunset over the Taj Mahal.
Last term saw an unusual visitor around Ivybridge Community College. Years 9 and 10 students were privileged to enjoy the company of Marcus Alexander, author of the ‘Keeper of the Realm’ series of books. Marcus arrived, bringing with him a bit of a whirlwind which continued throughout the day as he worked with four different groups of students.
