On Monday, 26 March the Learning Resource Centre welcomed the first visiting author of the year to Ivybridge Community College.
Ivybridge Community College Year 7 student Zach Anderson and Year 8 students Josh Freeman and Alfie Westerman represented Plymouth Diving in the British Elite Junior Diving Championship during the Easter holiday.
On Friday, 23 March fourteen Year 11 students visited Greenwell Farm in Yelverton, to experience "Lambing Live".
Parents and family members were treated to two nights of entertainment and creativity this term at the Ivybridge Community College’s annual Appreciation of Dance Show.
Ivybridge Gymnasts win Twelve Gold Medals
Ivybridge Community College’s Gymnastics Academy students showed huge strength-in-depth at the South West Schools Acro and Tumbling preliminaries in Sherborne, Dorset, with its biggest entry to date of 120 gymnasts, and more champions than ever securing their place in national finals.
At the beginning of March, four Ivybridge Community College students, Alexander Pettett and Isobel Smith from Year 8, and Jasmine Grills and Alisha Jarvis from Year 9, took part in the United Kingdom Mathematics Trust Team Maths Challenge at a local school.
Ivybridge Community College Year 11 student, Reid Jones, competed in five events at the 2018 British Swimming Championships; the highest level of competition in Great Britain.
On Thursday, 25 January 2018, four Ivybridge Community College Year 7 students:
Abi Reynolds, Lucy Andrade May, Matt Gilvear and Ciaran Ricketts took part in a Mathematics Masterclass at Plymouth University.
Ivybridge Community College has hosted numerous local Primary School sporting events organised through the Ivybridge Learning Community and we are proud to say that our students have been instrumental in ensuring that these events run smoothly.
On Tuesday, 6 March two hundred and forty children from the local Primary Schools of Ermington, Manor, Modbury, Newton Ferrers, Sparkwell, Stowford, The Erme, Ugborough and Woodlands, attended Ivybridge Community College to share thirteen different Gymnastics and Dance Performances that had been created during PE curriculum time or as part of an afterschool club.
Tuesday, 6 March 2018 saw a landmark achievement in the ’Rowing Marine Challenge’. Ivybridge Community College staff and students have, through their fantastic efforts, reached the first 200.000km distance marker! WELL DONE!
