Ivybridge Community College Year 12 student, Adam Vosper, has been selected as one of only two Judo athletes in his weight division, as part of a 14 strong team, to represent England in the Fuengirola Cadet European Judo Cup 2019.
Ivybridge Community College Sixth Form Media Studies students took the opportunity to attend a Journalism Discover Day at Plymouth Marjon University on Thursday, 24 January with other local schools.
On Thursday, 17 January over 50 students from Ivybridge Community College were selected to attend a training day arranged by the South Hams and West Devon School Games Organiser.
Dear Parents/Carers
I wish to thank both students and staff at the College for their efforts in effectively managing the weather challenges we faced today.
Consequently, please be aware that unless you see on the College website or hear in the local media, we will be open tomorrow (Friday, 1 February 2019). Also, parents are able to see which schools are closed by visiting Devon County Council’s school closure information.
We will of course continue to carefully monitor the weather conditions overnight and campus staff will be in College early in the morning to provide an assessment with regard to the safety of our site for our students.

Captivating performances convey messages of hope, acceptance and friendship.
On Monday, 17th December, Ivybridge Community College welcomed representatives from the Police, Fire and Ambulance services to talk to students in Years 10 and 11.
Former Ivybridge Community College student, Matthew Norton, who studied A Levels in Geography, Maths, Physics and the Extended Project Qualification, has recently received a Bangor University Excellence Scholarship, worth £3,500.
In December, student representatives from Ivybridge Community College visited St Luke’s Hospice and presented them with a cheque for £1938.13.
At the end of last term students, parents and staff were invited to donate food and gifts to support local community projects.
On Tuesday, 18 December Ivybridge Community College’s Learning Resource Centre hosted their first Big Book Bonanza.
Ivybridge Community College students Lucy Barnfield, in Year 10, and her sister Chloe Barnfield, in Year 8, competed in the National Supadance Finals in Blackpool, in December.
Ivybridge Community College’s Sustainability Group have led and supported the implementation of a new recycling and waste system.
