Sporting Leadership students at Ivybridge Community College are regularly involved in numerous events supporting the local Primary Schools’ sporting events, both at the College and in the wider community.
At the end of last term students, parents and staff were invited to donate food and gifts to support local community projects over the Christmas period.
Ivybridge Community College is delighted to announce that, together with the Football Association (FA) and Youth Sport Trust (YST), they have joined in a nationwide initiative to give every girl access to football, and therefore increase the number of girls who play football in England, by 2024.

Helen Reddy, Head of Performing Arts at Ivybridge Community College, has been awarded a BEM in the Queen’s New Year Honours list. Helen has been awarded the BEM in recognition of her Services to Educational Gymnastics.
On Monday, 16 December, the Ivybridge Community College U15 Rugby Team sealed a victory in the Natwest National Schools Cup over rivals Crediton, securing their place as one of the last 16 schools in the tournament.
Students across the College were encouraged to get their creativity flowing in the Geography Department’s ‘Christmas Bauble Competition’.
Ivybridge Community College is delighted to announce that the Year 10, U15 National Football Team has qualified for the last 32 in the Schools’ National Cup.
Before the Christmas break, five performances of Walt Disney’s Beauty and the Beast were undertaken by Ivybridge Community College’s Performing Arts, Dance, Drama and Music Departments. This wonderful interpretation was enhanced by a live orchestra, which provided superb music, as well as giving a true theatre experience.
