Once again this year, Ivybridge Community College celebrated ‘School Diversity Week’ from 20 – 24 June.

Following the Ivybridge Community College Girls into Science Club building a car to race as part of the GreenPower Electric Vehicles Challenge, thirteen girls took part in the GreenPower South West heat at Predannack airfield in Cornwall on Wednesday, 15 June 2022.
In June, English teacher Claire Davidson, travelled to the Isles of Scilly with her husband, to compete in the Otillo Sprint Swimrun race, where they achieved an amazing second place in their category.

On Tuesday, 10 May, Year 8 Ivybridge Community College students, Oliver and Will, led an Ivybridge Volunteer Police Cadets information session for students in Years 7, 8 and 9.
Ivybridge Community College has been fortunate to have been given the opportunity to send a group of students to Dartmoor Zoo for a long term project working on building a new enclosure for some endangered Scottish Wildcats. Dartmoor Zoo is located just outside the village of Sparkwell, only 20 minutes away from the College.
On Monday, 9 May, Ivybridge Community College Modern Foreign Language students had the amazing opportunity to travel to Catalonia, in Spain, to participate in a school exchange with a local school in Tarragona.
Ivybridge Community College Year 7 student, Chloe Hawker, had a successful 4 day Dance Festival at The Keay Theatre, Cornwall College, in St Austell.
In April, the town of Ivybridge celebrated and showcased some of the many groups, venues and activities that it has to offer.
Ivybridge Community College students Zac, in Year 7, and Edie, in Year 10, took part in the Torbay Speech and Drama Festival on Monday 16 and Tuesday 17 May.
