Cashless System

Ivybridge Community College operates as a cashless college. To support this, we use ParentPay for all payments, including payments for school meals.  This is supported by a facial recognition system that is in use across all 3 canteens.

Facial recognition for school meals is a contactless biometric system.  Students simply look at a point-of-sale camera, which verifies their identity against a secure database to instantly deduct the meal cost from their account.  This system has the significant benefit of speeding up the lunch queue, allowing students more time to enjoy their break, whilst at the same instantly linking to Parent Pay.

If consent is not given for facial recognition, alternative ways for payment are available.
