Staff and students at Ivybridge Community College have celebrated World Mental Health Week 2020 where the theme this year was ‘Kindness’.

Each Year Group will undergo an Induction Programme during week commencing Monday, 7 September. Years 7, 9 and 12 have been given a two-day Induction Programme to support the transition into a new school or onto new courses. Years 8, 10, 11and 13 have been given a one-day Induction Programme.
ALL Students will be expected to attend their specific days only for the first week and will then commence onto their full-time timetable from Monday, 14 September 2020.
If your son or daughter is absent for their Induction Programme, they will have to complete the sessions during their first day back and this will require them coming out of their timetabled lessons.
100% attendance back to College in September is really important for ALL students and the College will take every precaution necessary to ensure they remain safe and supported throughout.
Every week the College has a high number of good news stories about the successes and achievements of our students and staff and so we intend to continue to share these with you.

Our planned Enrichment Week may have been put on hold, but that’s no reason for students to miss out on a whole host of activities that can give new experiences, extend learning, develop an appreciation for cultural issues and bring some fun to College life.

Please can we advise Year 6 parents to begin to think about purchasing uniform items for September. With the restrictions currently in place it is really important that everyone doesn’t leave it until August.
Information for students in Years 7 and 8 who have completed the survey to take part in our workshops offered by the Music Department commencing week beginning Monday, 15 June.
