Enterprise Advisor Network

The Enterprise Adviser Network comprises of local business volunteers who work with local educational establishments and focus on building engagement and student encounters and experiences with the wider business community. 

Our current College Enterprise Adviser is Daffne Zamudio from Willmott Dixon. 

Daffne works as the Social Value Manager at Willmott Dixon, who are a privately-owned contracting and interior fit-out group.  

Daffne’s expertise resides in the planning and organisation of events and building relationships for the benefit of the community. 

She is passionate about supporting students to develop their career aspirations and promote the construction industry.

Daffne supports a range of College activities over the academic year, such as our annual Careers Fair and Student Employability Skills workshops, providing an employer perspective to the student curriculum here at Ivybridge Community College. 

She also helps to support our Careers team with access to wider industry contacts in order to develop and enhance our Careers programme.

At Ivybridge Community College we are busy growing your employees of the future.  

We need your help to raise their career aspirations, develop their employability skills and learn more about the exciting industries in our area.

Ways that you can support our College:

  • Be part of our Mock Interview Programme with students and help them structure their Curriculum Vitaes
  • Give an inspiring talk based on your industry or job role
  • Run a hands-on workshop with activities relating to your area of expertise
  • Be part of our discussions about pathways after College, e.g. Apprenticeships
  • Help champion specific issues and challenge barriers in the workplace around gender stereotyping, disability, etc.
  • Help bring a subject lesson to life by linking it to your industry
  • Offer a work experience placement for Year 10 or Year 12 students at your business, including supported work experience placements for our SEND students

We will support you throughout your visit to us to ensure we maximise the use of your valuable time.
