On Tuesday, 5 April a group of Year 8 girls had an exciting opportunity to participate in a brand new event called the ‘Neon Run’, held at the Pavilion in the Park, Okehampton, and hosted by Active Devon.
At the beginning of the Easter break, two Ivybridge Community College Rugby Teams travelled to Lisbon in Portugal to compete in the Portugal Rugby Youth Festival, with both the girls’ and boys’ teams finishing in third place in their respective tournaments.
Ivybridge Community College RSL Music students, in Years 12 and 13, were tasked with putting together a performance to a brief of Barriers, Borders and Boundaries.
On Wednesday, 30 March, David Hill, Youth Sport Trust Athlete Mentor and Paralympian, returned to the College to support the Year 12 BTEC students deliver a Healthy Lifestyle Festival for fifty-five Year 7 students.
Ivybridge Community College students were invited to join with students from two other schools across the country in a joint project as part of the College’s World Class Schools Quality Mark reaccreditation process.
Easter Revision and Study Rooms Timetable -
As part of British Science Week and the theme of ‘Growth’, the College's Sustainability Group organised a tree planting workshop at MacAndrews Field, Ivybridge, in conjunction with local community environmental charity ‘Parklife SW’ and Stowford Nursery.
In March, Year 8 students who had been nominated by their Mathematics teachers for their effort in class, as well as their Home Learning, were invited to attend a ‘Racing to School’ event held at Exeter Racecourse.
Ivybridge Community College’s U18 Boys’ Rugby Team ended the season as runners up in the AOC National Premier League Final. The nail-biting final saw them narrowly defeated by Exeter College.
