On Monday, 14 March, the Drama Department at Ivybridge Community College invited practitioners from MED Theatre, Moretonhampstead, to deliver a devising workshop exclusively to Year 8 students.
The College is delighted to announce that Year 11 student, Ellie Sara, has been selected for the England Football U16 Squad to play Portugal and Belgium at St George’s Park, at Easter.
In February, the Year 5 class from Ugborough Primary School visited the Science Department at Ivybridge Community College where they were able to thoroughly explore the States of Matter through scientific experimentation.
The annual Appreciation of Dance performance returned on Monday, 14 March and Tuesday, 15 March, with work showcased from Key Stages 3 and 4 Enrichment, GCSE, A Level and RSL courses.
Ivybridge Community College staff and students have brought in more than 150 empty confectionery tubs for a fundraising initiative organised through the College’s Key Stage 3 Office, raising essential funds for charity.
Former Ivybridge Community College student, Cameron Sangster, visited the College recently and donated more than 50 pairs of moulded stud football boots for use by students on the new 3G pitch.
Every year, staff and students at Ivybridge Community College participate in World Book Day. It is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to escape into the world of books.
Ivybridge Community College Year 11 student and cyclist, Ollie Murphy, continued his run of good form over the winter season, winning two races at the Soggy Bottom XC Winter Series at Newnham Park, Plymouth at the end of 2021.
