Former Ivybridge Student Seals Win for England in Rugby

A last second try by former Ivybridge Community College student, Richard Capstick, sealed a win for England in the opening round of the Under-20s Six Nations Cup on Saturday, 1 February.

Richard left it late as his try sealed the victory for England Under-20s with a 29-24 bonus-point win over France in Grenoble.

                      Rus Tuima

Rus Tuima also scored for England, as he was on hand to finish off a great break, by showing good pace of his own by crossing the try line after receiving the ball on the 22.

We are incredibly proud of the amazing achievements that Richard and Rus have accomplished by representing their country, but to have both scored in a win is very special and should be celebrated. We are delighted that we have played a part in the development of both young men as rugby players, and as people, and hope that they remember their time at the College with fond memories.
