Ivybridge Sports Academy Programmes – Workshops 2018

As part of our Year 7 Induction and in preparation for the start of the Ivybridge Sports Academy Programme 2018-19, we would like to invite any Year 6 child who is already playing sport at a competitive level (club or school) to attend the Induction Academy Workshops, which are to be held across a wide range of sports.

This will give parents an opportunity to share our ‘Sporting Vision 2020’ and provide your child with an opportunity to participate in an ‘Academy Workshop’ led by our PE staff and coaches.

Ivybridge Community College continues to commit to ensuring the most able students in sport are given opportunities to excel.  As one of the first ever Specialist Sports Colleges,  we continue to invest in ensuring students can compete and thrive at club, regional, national and international level with the support of the College.  Employing a number of professional practitioners such as Coaches, Physiotherapists, a Strength and Conditioning Coach and linking to a number of professional clubs such as the Exeter Chiefs and Plymouth Argyle, Ivybridge Community College continues to invest in ‘Elite Player Development’.

If your child is interested in being considered for any of the Ivybridge Sport Academy Programmes, he/she should attend one or more of our workshops, which are all taking place at Ivybridge Community College according to the attached timetable.
