Important Notice - Years 9 and 10 Vaccination Clarification

Further Clarification on the Diptheria, Tetanus and Polio (DTP) and Meningitis ACWY (MenACWY)

The vaccinations are being run by Virgin Care in accordance with normal procedures and the College is helping to facilitate this.  Virgin Care have confirmed that they are in the process of sending letters to parents who have consented and these should arrive over the next few days.  Please do not contact the College directly regarding this.

In order to support Virgin Care’s vaccination programme continuing to take place during school closure, the College has made arrangements to use the Watermark as a venue for all students who are currently working remotely and further information regarding this will follow.

For the few students in key groups who are currently attending College, it has been arranged with Virgin Care, that they will receive their vaccination on Monday, 1 February 2021.  If your child is currently attending College but will not be in school on Monday, 1 February please contact Virgin Care so that an appointment can be arranged for the vaccinations to take place at the Watermark.

We must reiterate that during national lockdown and College closure students are not permitted to attend College unless they have been identified by the government as part of a key group.  Please can we request that if your child does not normally attend College, that you do not send them in on Monday to specifically receive the vaccines.

If you do not receive your letter from Virgin Care, please contact them direct by using the email: VCL.immunisations@nhs.net

Please note that the College cannot accept emails giving consent as this must be done with Virgin Care so please contact them direct.
