Ivybridge Community College Swimmers Achieve Amazing Results
Ivybridge Community College students recently took part in the Devon County Swimming Championships at the Life Centre, Plymouth, and all of them have made it through to the County Finals.
The swimmers involved were: Ella D’Cunha in Year 10, Katie Cutler and Lloyd Stone in
Year 9, Millie Tout in Year 8, Thomas Jones, Madison Oman and Jasmine D’Cunha in Year 7. Jasmine D’Cunha finalled in every one of her events; achieving a record of five Gold , four Silver and two Bronze medals, which included one age group County record – a fantastic achievement.
During the half term break a group of five
Ivybridge Community College students travelled to an overseas swim training camp in southern Spain. The unseasonal high temperatures really contributed to the training and fun that the swimmers enjoyed. The swimmers are now looking forward to the upcoming South West Regional Championships in May and this summers’ National Championships in July.
